Joomla Link not loading in blank page Template issue

Hi there,

For some reason my External URL / Menu Item...links, set to open in a 'new window with navigation' are for some unknown reason loading either of top of my homepage or if I set to open in 'new window without navigation' they open in a new tab but my homepage changes to the link as well.

Is this anything to do with the template do you know!? Its driving me mad...

Any advise is welcome
